Citizens Informed is a volunteer, grassroots campaign and coalition created to educate North Carolina citizens on the need for a state spending and budget transparency website.
Citizens Informed coalition members believe
- Citizens should be able to track how their tax dollars are being spent and budgeted
- The state budget and expenditures should be available online
- The online portal should be easily searchable, accessible and user-friendly
Coalition members may participate by
- sending a letter to your local newspaper editor discussing the issue
- calling in to your favorite radio show to bring up the issue
- discussing the issue with friends, family members and colleagues; encourage them to visit the website and join the coalition
